Setting up the WiFi connection using WPS

If your router has a WPS button then the camera's WiFi connection can be setup using WPS instead of manually entering the WiFi details.

To setup the WiFi connection using WPS you should first power up the camera near the router and without the ethernet cable connected, then wait 2-3 minutes for the camera to fully power up.

Press and hold the WPS button on your router for the specified amount of time, usually five seconds (check your routers manual for this if you are unsure). You will usually see a WPS light flashing on your router at this point.

Then press and hold the WPS button on the camera for 2-4 seconds, no more than 5 seconds. Holding down the button for longer on the outdoor camera may reset the camera as this also is the reset button.

On the indoor camera this will be a small raised button on the back of the camera. Once activated the blue light above the button will flash.

On the outdoor camera this will be a small white button on the underneath of the camera. This doubles as the reset button so should not be pressed for longer than 2-4 seconds.

Give the camera and router 5 minutes to connect, then open the Ucam247live app and wait for the camera to connect and show as online.

If the WPS setup does not work then the WiFi connection can be setup using the Ucam247live app (click here) or using a web browser on a PC (click here).
